It is a...You are right on with your thoughts here. It is amazing how we become "experts" on the topic of breast cancer. And it is an "ice breaker" of conversations, friendship making, and status. I, too, have all the remaining effects of chemo, adding to your list high blood pressure, thyroid problems, etc. Radiation was so hard for me. I had the mastectomy. Besides the radiation, I had the moist heat treatments before the radiation. I burned to a crisp with oozing, peeling, raw skin. I almost quit in the middle as I thought I couldn't take any more of it. But I made it through. I agree with you about reliving the memories with such clarity and even the emotions. But isn't it great that we get to hug those we love, encourage those who are starting out on this awful journey, and we appreciate every single day as the most precious gift ever given to us! Thank you for encouraging ME today. So glad to see your post here!!!!Corahttp://www.hiddenrichessecretplaces.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8034261290277072577.post-49811439225856075112011-09-08T21:58:55.910-04:002011-09-08T21:58:55.910-04:00Just popping in to say thanks for sharing your tho...Just popping in to say thanks for sharing your thoughts and being so authentic. This past weekend we had a young mom (37) pass away from breast cancer. It wasn't supposed to happen, she had really good statistics in her favor. So, I understand what you are saying about a phone call sending you back in time.
Also, thanks for sharing some of your continued side effects. Although, I don't want you (or any cancer survivor) to have long term side effects...it so helps to know that I am not alone.
Blessings to you as you continue on your healing journey and enjoying the blessing of every day!Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15396309591269376813noreply@blogger.com
